Along the road to Treviso you can visit Castelfranco Veneto, Asolo and Possagno.
Castelfranco Veneto is one of the best preserved walled cities of the Veneto.
Definitely worth visiting are the castle with a square plan , the Academic Theatre and the Cathedral , which hosts the Pala di Castelfranco del Giorgione , an extraordinary creation also because it was the only altarpiece created by the artist .
For those who appreciate the villas of Palladio, a must visit are Villa Emo in Fanzolo and Villa Barbaro at Maser, with frescoes by Paolo Veronese.
A few kilometers from Maser, is found Asolo, a sophisticated city where to shop, get lost amiably through the narrow streets of the center and enjoy the local delicacies : from the typical " cicchetti " , the excellent wine, the elderberry ice cream, to " Tintoretto " a Bellini with pomegranate flavor.
Ten kilometers after Asolo, is located Possagno, birthplace of Antonio Canova, where you can visit the house of the sculptor and the extraordinary collection of plaster casts .
